Ingredients

- 1 cup (200 g) packed brown sugar: wet ingredient
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar: wet ingredient
- 2 large eggs: wet ingredient
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract: wet ingredient
- 1 1/2 cups (270 g) semi sweet chocolate chips: add in

Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour baking soda and salt Set aside.
- Mix Wet Ingredients:
- In a large bowl combine melted butter brown sugar and granulated sugar Whisk until smooth and glossy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla:
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the wet mixture whisking until fully incorporated.
- Combine Mixtures:
- Gradually stir in the dry ingredients with a spatula until just combined (do not overmix).
- Fold in Chocolate Chips:
- Fold in chocolate chips reserving a handful for the top.
- Prepare Skillet:
- Spread the dough evenly into a 10 inch (25 cm) oven safe skillet (cast iron preferred) smoothing the top Sprinkle reserved chocolate chips and flaky sea salt over the dough.
- Bake:
- Bake for 22 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is just set but still soft.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let cool for 5 10 minutes Serve warm straight from the skillet with ice cream if desired.
