01 - 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

02 - 3 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
03 - 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
04 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
05 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
06 - Zest of 1/2 lemon

07 - 2 tablespoons toasted sliced almonds
08 - 1 tablespoon finely grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
# How to make it:
01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine green beans, sliced garlic, olive oil, sea salt and black pepper; toss until beans are thoroughly coated.
03 - Spread the seasoned beans in a single, even layer on the prepared baking sheet to ensure uniform browning.
04 - Roast on the middle rack for 18 to 20 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until beans are tender, slightly blistered and the garlic turns golden.
05 - Transfer beans to a warm platter, sprinkle with lemon zest and top with toasted almonds and/or grated Parmesan if desired; serve warm or at room temperature.
