Chocolate Kinder Christmas Trees (Printable)

Whimsical chocolate stacks with Kinder bars and rich drizzle, perfect for festive gatherings and easy decoration.

# What you'll need:

→ Chocolate Bars

01 - 24 mini Kinder chocolate bars (or similar)

→ Chocolate Drizzle

02 - 5.3 oz dark or milk chocolate, chopped
03 - 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)

→ Decorations

04 - 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles or edible glitter
05 - 8 mini chocolate or candy stars

# How to make it:

01 - Line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
02 - Unwrap all mini chocolate bars. For each tree, stack three bars: place one whole, then one broken in half overlapped to form a triangle, and a third bar on top to resemble a tree.
03 - Place each stacked assembly on the prepared tray, spaced evenly.
04 - Melt chopped chocolate and coconut oil together using a heatproof bowl over simmering water or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
05 - Drizzle the melted chocolate generously over each stacked tree using a spoon or piping bag to simulate branches.
06 - Immediately sprinkle festive decorations and place a mini chocolate star atop each stack before the drizzle sets.
07 - Refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes until the chocolate drizzle firms.
08 - Serve chilled or at room temperature for best taste.

# Expert suggestions:

01 -
  • They're impressive enough to bring to a party but so simple you could make them in your sleep (or with your eyes half-closed at 11 PM on Christmas Eve).
  • Kids actually want to help, and their imperfect stacking somehow makes them look more charming and real.
  • The whole project takes twenty minutes, which means you can still catch your favorite holiday movie.
02 -
  • Don't let your chocolate get too hot or it will taste grainy and bitter. Low and slow is the only way to melt chocolate without regret.
  • The moment between "wet chocolate" and "set chocolate" is narrow and unforgiving. Have your sprinkles and stars within arm's reach before you start drizzling, or you'll be cursing under your breath.
  • These aren't delicate. They can withstand a gentle nudge, a shift in the refrigerator, even being packed into a gift box with a little tissue paper.
03 -
  • Keep your chocolate just warm enough to drizzle smoothly. Too cool and it will clump and refuse to cooperate. Too hot and it will slide right off your trees and pool at the bottom of the tray.
  • If your sprinkles don't stick, your chocolate has already set. Next time, work faster or drizzle a second, thinner coat of chocolate after the first has partially set—it creates texture and gives the sprinkles a second chance to adhere.
